The Land

Located on the outskirts of Cody, Wyoming, TAC is situated in the foothills of Wyoming’s Absaroka Range. Our facility is the perfect environment for your time of rest or prayer, or for spiritual, corporate or family retreat.

Dining and social gatherings are hosted in the warm atmosphere of the Main House enhanced by the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains in the northwest corner of the Bighorn Basin. TAC is situated at the heart of a 350-acre tract of the northwest Wyoming steppe, providing plenty of open space to relax, restore your spirit, and renew who you are.

TAC has nearly 3/4 of an acre of xeric gardens featuring more than 100 varieties of water-wise and native plants and shrubs.

TAC Labyrinth

TAC Labyrinth

Located on the west side of the West Guest House, our labyrinth is constructed of native materials in the Medieval Chartres eleven circuit design. TAC staff painstakingly hand placed 1,800 stones, all but a few dozen collected from the hillsides surrounding the Center.

Habitat Hero

Habitat Hero

In November 2015, Audobon Rockies recognized TAC as a Habitat Hero garden for our commitment to being water wise and energy efficient, utilizing as many native species as possible, and providing improved habitat for pollinators, birds and many smaller forms of wildlife such as beneficial insects which we often don’t give much thought.

Ridge Trails

Ridge Trails

The first quarter mile of the trail features the 14 Stations of the Cross. The stations are cast brass embedded in native sandstone. A bench is located at the 14th station to provide guests an opportunity to reflect on the stations or absorb the long views of the surrounding countryside. Continuing along the trail affords guests the chance to walk among the native plants of the steppe and to absorb the feel of Wyoming’s open range.

Buchanan Lake Bird Sanctuary

Buchanan Lake Bird Sanctuary

Maintained by the Meadowlark Chapter of the Audubon Society, this section of the property can be accessed either on foot or by automobile. Please consult TAC staff for specific directions and details concerning the gardens, labyrinth, nature trail and bird sanctuary. We appreciate guests using provided gateways to access the open land areas and request that guests do not climb on or through the fences.

The Land
The Community

Sitting right across from the Yellowstone Regional Airport, TAC is right at the heart of Cody only five minutes from a grocery store and ten minutes from the western adventures of downtown Cody, WY.

However, holding the essence of Wyoming peace and open land is an essential part of the center’s quest. TAC backs up to just over 10 million acres of preserved, public land that allows for the views along each cultivated trail to fully immerse a visitor in the wilds of Wyoming terrain, from inside an intentional path of contemplation.

The thriving community of Cody has a population of nearly 10,000 and is surrounded by public land with exciting and diverse recreational opportunities.
