Workshop:

Come focus in on the world of plein air as we reignite your perspective and focus. This retreat is in collaboration with the fantastic workshop and facilitation of the Cody Country Art League. Right outside Yellowstone National Park, this unique retreat is focused on exploring new skills in the studio and out on the land. 

Learn to paint outside OR improve your outdoor painting. Two days painting outside (location still TBD). INstruction on choosing a scene, editing the scene, simplify your composition, block in and finish. We'll talk about goals and aims for plain air and how that makes a difference in your approach. Outdoor painting equipment. Supply list provided.

Join Ginny Butler at the Cody Country Art League right downtown to take this two day workshop. It is just a couple miles around the corner from the center and transportation is provided each day. Consider time away to learn about plain eir more extensively from a fantastic instructor in the wilds of Cody, WY. Class will go from 8AM-3PM on Friday and Satuday. Prep time and continued space will be offered back on the center's property finish and perfect the techiniques and work from the day. Consider extending your stay pre or post workshop as the center can provide space for those hoping to continue working on their pieces.

Pricing:

The retreat is $575 total for one person in a shared room plus food and the class. Lunch is on your own each day of the class.

The retreat is $790 total for one person in a queen room and private bath plus food and the class. Lunch is on your own each day of the class.

Housing:

Private or shared rooms are available. Each room has a private bath. The art studio house holds spacious rooms with incredible views. These rooms are reserved on a first come first served bases and must be requested. They are set aside for this retreat offering until they fill. You are able to extend your stay to continue practicing at the property studio as desired. Please call the retreat office to finalize your reservation.

Food:

Farm to table food will be served each morning and evening. Access to lunch will be in the downtown district, right around the studio and just a couple miles from the center. All dietary restrictions are catered to except vegan. We love colorful dishes and intentional cuisine.

Location:

The retreat center is across the street from Cody Regional airport. Pickup and drop off are included. If you would like to extend your stay in the region, please request more information. For further exploration of the area's attractions like hot springs, mountain hikes, camping, horseback riding, zip lining, relaxing massage and more, recommendations can be made of local tours and amenities.
